The long wait is over — the organizer of the 2010 BABE Rally has posted the traditional wrap article with the final race results. Team Two Horsemen of the Carpocalypse finished (just) inside the top ten, in 9th place!

Thanks to our families, friends and fellow teams for a great experience. Registration for the 2011 BABE Rally begins next month and Team THOTC will be at the front of the line! Stay tuned for details.

Thanks to the generous pledges of Team Two Horsemen of the Carpocalypse’s families, friends and fans the team raised over $1,000 for these two important charities. Those who pledged will receive emails shortly containing instructions on how to remit their donations directly to the charity (or chartities) they chose to support, plus an extra-special photo surprise to say “thanks!”
(Those who have been following along on the team’s adventures during the 2010 BABE Rally might be interested to know that said photo was taken on Day 2 and those who don’t remit their donations in a timely fashion may find that photo on the side of their car… or their house… or even re-created live and in-person at their place of employment – grin).

After scouring the entire DC area for a few of these as part of a challenge on Day 1 and coming up empty, we weren’t sure there were any.
New Jersey has proven us wrong.
Team THOTC is 130 miles from Burn’s place and some frosty-cold celebratory beverages.

After a brief stop Crash’s Atlanta pad to visit with family, friends and fans, the team is on the way to Burn’s place in Albany, New York. ETA… uh… soon.

Day 5 is over and the Rally is run. Team Two Horsemen of the Carpocalypse crossed the finish line (otherwise known as the threshold of The Deutche Haus restaurant and bar) in New Orleans at 6:15PM. A party of memorable proportions ensued as more and more teams arrived and it seemed the perfect time for an end of day update. A post with the rest of the story (scores, winners, etc.) will be forthcoming shortly, we promise.

The team has arrived safely at the Deutche Haus (a German beer bar, of course) designated as the finish line for the 2010 BABE Rally. There will be a scoring process for today’s challenge and, once the horn blows, announcements of the winners and presentation of any special awards.
