After a heartfelt (and possibly tearful) Day 5 briefing via cellphone and loudspeaker from Justin – the BABE Rally organizer from the UK who couldn’t make it this year due to visa issues) – we are on our last leg and NOLA-bound.

With a Heat Advisory all day and the way to New Orleans, Fix-A-Flat, fresh coolant and sunscreen have become highly sought-after commodities.

BABETeamGreen has already had a tire delaminate due to the asphalt temperature and it isn’t even 9AM!

Day 4 was an absolutely fantastic one for Team Two Horsemen of the Carpocalypse. Not a whine or a groan out of aRTy (except the ones that were supposed to be there, of course) and a surprise appearance by another BABE Rally team thought to be out of the race for this year made it all kinds of special.  Click the image below to watch the video.

Actually, the shop and its proprietor (McGee’s Antiques and Coffee Shop in Talking Rock, Georgia) were lovely – it is the challenge that is the horror.

Observe and document the thousands (literally) of items in this three-room establishment. And, yes, there will be a test later.

Crash and Burn are taking a short dinch (or is it lunner?) break in Cartersville, Georgia and then running hard for Gadsden, Alabama for the end of Day 4.
